Butterfly valve

Butterfly valve
Mumbai-based KHD Valves manufactures a wafer design butterfly valve, which has a distinct advantage as an OnOff valve and also as throttling valve. Elastomer sleeve is available either in neopreone/nitrile/EPDM or other material as per required service with centre disc design and eccentric disc design with a tough and durable GFT/PTFE seat. The valve is fitted with ratchet type indicating lever. Discs and bodies are available in all machinable alloys, flap option is available to suit service condition. Specifications include size ranging from 40 mm to 600 mm; rating -150 Class; and type - sleeve and lined.

Cast Steel Butterfly Valves
Steam & Mining industries offers butterfly valves. These are designed with plate shaped disc rotated on its axis to open or close the valve as well as to control the flow. Compared with other types of valves, it is of simple construction, compact, light in weight and has less flow resistance. It is also low in cost and with quick valve operation. The seat combination is made of metal-to-metal contact, or metal-to-resin or rubber, or with a teflon or synthetic rubber ring fitted round the disc or resil-ient material embodied in the body seat. The valve is manually operated (lever-handle or gearing method) or by mechanical actua-tors (electric motor, or hydraulic-motor or cylinder, or air-cylinder, or air-diaphragm).

Inflatable Seated Butterfly valve
Regulas Engineering offers inflatable seated butterfly valves manufactured by Posiflate, USA. These are characterised by less friction, low torque, less wear and longer life. This unique butterfly valve design uses air pressure to expand the seat against the disc, providing even pressure distribution for a bubble tight sea, every time. Because the seat makes only casual contact with the disc during valve opening and closing. There is very minimal disc impingement this is in contrast to conventional butterfly valves where disc impingement leads to shaving of the seat, decreasing the overall performance and valve life. Substantially less torque is required to open and close the Posiflate butterfly valve thus a smaller actuator can be used resulting in lower overall valve cost. In actual compassion tests and documented field applications, the Posi-flate butterfly valve outperformed all other valves. Standard valve sizes range from 2 (50 mm) to 30 (750 mm) and fit both ANSI and metric flanges. A full line of actuators, limit switches and controls are available to suit individual applications. Operating parameters: temperature limits: -40° to 150°C (-40° to 300°F); air supply: 115 PSIG (7.9 bar) maximum to seat, varies with application; working pressure full vacuum to 100 PSIG (6.9 bar) varies with material of construction; and operating torque varies with application.

Ball Valves

Ball Valves
Hydac International offers a range of high pressure ball valves for industrial use. These include 3-way and 4-way ball valves, low pressure ball valves and ball valves with rotating drives. The valves are available in flange, sleeve or manifold mounting versions.

Stainless Steel Ball Valves
Moniba Anand Electricals offers die-pressed stainless steel ball valves manufactured by Mencarelli, Italy. Diepressing in working of stainless steel is the method which ensures greatest production capacity and economy. For this reason, the Italian company has devised this range of ball valves for the most demanding applications. Extremely light weight, proved quality and undeniable economy make these valves amongst the best in their category, indispensable wherever the use of stainless steel is recommended. Available in female/male thread and without thread. Specifications: size-1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-l/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3"and 4"; material-AISI 304 and AISI 316; seal-Teflon; `O' ring- Viton; temperature-up to 100oC; pressure-10 ATM (max); and, resistance to vacuum up to 10 Torr. Areas of application are: textile, petrochemicals, galvanic, wine, and chemical industries.

Ball valves - lubrication
Uniflow manufactures ball valves with blow out proof stem assembly. They are used in lubrication, filtration and heat exchange systems. The material used is CI/CS/SS 304/SS 316 with `L’/`T’ port. Its end connection is screwed/flanged. The outstanding features are as follows: * Components are machined in CNC. * Components are inspected at every stage. * Mirror finished ball. * Firesafe design with anti-static device on request at an extra cost. * Suitable for actuator mounting. * Flanges as per British, ASA class 150/300, DIN and other standards on request. * Ball valves can be available in CI, CS, SS 304 and 316, bronze, alloy 20 and hastelloy B and C. The specifications are as follows: body - 31 kg/cm^2; seat - 21 kg/cm^2; temp - 205 deg C (400 deg F) and size - 1/2 to 4 (15100 mm).
